About NSC

Founded in 1913 the National Safety Council is a non-governmental, not-for-profit international public service organization. For 90-years the National Safety Council (NSC) has been the USA's safety and health leader devoted to protecting life and promoting health.

The National Safety Council first introduced First Aid & CPR training programs in 1990 and has developed into the second largest training provider in the USA. Over 70 professional organizations reviewed, contributed and have endorsed NSC emergency care programs.

More than 7 million people have received NSC First Aid & CPR training by 10,000 instructors through 4,000 training centers worldwide. In 2001 the NSC was the first provider to launch First Aid and CPR training online via the Internet. The huge success of online courses complements the comprehensive range of NSC training services.
